10 of the most annoying Coworking behaviours ever witnessed
There are a couple of things that we find annoying with our co-workers. Whilst some could be tolerated, there are those that we consider most annoying in the office. Here are the top ten most annoying:
- Unreasonable noise
Although we don’t expect the office to be quiet the whole day, there is some repetitive notice that just annoys. There are those who talk loudly on phone, munch chips or crunch ice. The list is long but you get the drift.
- Conference call chaos
This is noise still, but on another level. The background noise people hear when you make a conference call is quite irritating. The co-workers who are guilty of this do not have headsets and instead put the call on hands- free.
- Annoying smells
From the smell of garlic to some obnoxious perfumes that you bought in the backstreet, there is everything wrong with your smell. If you must take garlic, then you must ensure that you keep the garlicky smell away from your co-workers. invest in less concentrated ones which don’t irritate others.
It is fine to chat with your co-worker in the office during breaks such as tea time or lunch hour. However, there are some small talks which get in the way for productivity. Some co-workers have no respect for work and will carry on with idle chatter.
- Gross behaviour
Some behaviour should simply be confined to your room, not the office. Take the case of people who clip their finger or toe nails in the office .There are those who shamelessly pick their noses and will insist on shaking hands with you or touch a common utility item in the office.
- Too touchy
How much of touch is acceptable? Well, it demands on what you mean by that because for some, it would mean hugging, tickling, patting the belly, poking and all manner of unwelcome touch moves. Not everyone likes being touched in any of these ways.
- Invading space
Nothing annoys like someone making uninvited appearances to your cubicle to borrow or pick things.
- Idling in the office
There are those fellow workers who just come to office to idle and hang out while the rest work.
- Annoying ringtones
There are some ringtones made in hell. They blare and nearly turn you deaf.
- Noisy keyboard
There are those keyboards on phones which make so much noise when typing.
